Deputies Bust Dog Fighting Ring Overnight - WLOX.com - The News for South Mississippi

Several people have been arrested for running a dog fighting ring. The bust happened in the overnight hours at a home on Vidalia Road in Harrison County.
Sheriff George Payne says 30 fighting dogs from Louisiana have been confiscated, and 17 people have been arrested. In addition, crack cocaine and several other drugs were found at the scene.
The dogs will be taken to the Humane Shelter for evaluation. WLOX News has a crew on the scene, and we'll have more on the story later today.
