Lee Takes Over At Gulf Coast

When Bill Lee served as offensive coordinator at Moss Point, the Tigers unleashed a high octane passing attack. Then when Bill Lee took over the head coaching job at Starkville this past season, he devised an explosive passing game, leading the Yellow jackets to the 5A state title. His new assignment - rebuild Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College into a football power.

Bill Lee is one of those coaches that has a play for every situation, and a clever line handy for when he wants to get his point across.

"We want to show class.  The Gulf Coast Bulldogs, we've come to pass," Lee said.

There's no doubt Gulf Coast will throw the football next season. He threw it at Moss Point, he threw it at Starkville, and now he plans to bring the system called "Napalm" to Perk. In his own words, "It's not a crime to drop Napalm anytime."

He says he'll adapt his offense to the talented core of Bulldog players.

On this level, you've got to recruit what you need.  But still, you've got to just feel things, and mold it around the skill level and the talent level that you have to be successful."

Lee officially takes over the job on Feb. 1. He says the next step will be to put his coaching staff together. Some of the names on the list include Stevon Moore, and Jerry Fremin.
