The Truck Stops Here

A Maryland man is behind bars in Jackson County after authorities found 538 pounds of marijuana during a truck inspection at a state weigh station on Interstate 10. Forty-two-year-old Patrick Dawes Delroy of Baltimore is being held without bond in the Jackson County Adult Detention Center charged with possession of more than 5 kilograms of marijuana.

Eddie Stewart, Jackson County Narcotics Task Force commander, says Public Service Commission officers found the marijuana during an inspection on Sunday.

Authorities also seized Delroy's 18-wheeler.
