An endangered lemur that's been missing since early Friday morning is back at the Hattiesburg Zoo. Police found the lemur over the weekend digging through trash behind a K-Mart in Hattiesbug. The Red Ruffed lemur is an endangered primate that's related to monkeys.
Zoo officials say the animal is in good condition. The lemur is one of a pair of Red Ruffed lemurs at the zoo. Authorities say it was taken from its exhibit late Thursday night or early Friday morning. Zoo officials do not know if any suspects have been charged in the kidnapping.
