Governor Ronnie Musgrove is expected to appoint two judges to fill vacancies in a south Mississippi chancery court district. The appointments could come Monday when Chancery Judges J-N Randall Junior and Tom Teel begin forced retirements.
A spokesman from the governor's office said yesterday that he could not be more specific about when Musgrove will announce his choices. The departure of Randall and Teel leaves two judges in the chancery court district that includes Harrison, Stone and Hancock counties. Tom Teel and Randall agreed to step down to avoid prosecution on misdemeanor charges of falsifying mileage reimbursements and meal expenses.
