It's called No More Drama, a new book teaching people how to keep the drama out their lives from a Christian perspective. Carlton McCarter, pastor of the Victory Full Gospel Christian Center in Ocean Springs, wrote the book and held a book signing Sunday afternoon.
"I don't want anymore drama in my life, and I know this book is going to teach me how to handle the drama in my life," says Tina Cade, church member.
The book is based off a 10-part sermon series Carter first preached in 2004.
"No More Drama is a book teaches people how to take authority over our lives. Like is like a play. The devil gives up parts but God gives us purpose. The devil says who can I get to play the part of jealously today. God says who can I get to star the part of patience. That's the basis of the book. We want people to fulfill their purpose and quite carrying out parts," says Pastor McCarter.
Those who came out for the book signing say they hope to find guidance through McCarter's heavenly inspired words.
"I expect to learn how to handle my everyday situations and problems, anything that comes against me that's not of God. The book teaches you how to handle it in an adult way and not things to overtake you," says James Willis, a church member.
March 6, 2007 is the national release date for the book. A rap c.d. with the same message that's aimed at reaching a younger audience will be released along with the book in March.
