Escapee Back Home For Holidays

A man who escaped from police custody Monday night is behind bars again this morning. Dietrich Glass is in the Harrison County Detention Center on a 50-thousand-dollar bond. On Monday night Glass got away from officers while they were arresting him for drug possession. Police say Glass turned himself in about 11:30 the next morning.

He reportedly called the police from an apartment on Irish Hill Drive, where they later picked him up. Glass is charged with felony escape. Biloxi police arrested another suspected drug dealer while they were searching for Glass. Authorities say a man jumped out of the window of an apartment when they knocked on the door. The officers then got a warrant to search the home where they found more than 30 pounds of marijuana and about a pound and a half of cocaine.

Police say they've charged 33-year-old Christopher McManus of Biloxi with two counts of possession with the intent to distribute. He is also being held in the Harrison County Jail.
