Carver Village Set For Demolition

Pascagoula Residents will soon say goodbye to a 40-year-old public housing complex in the city.

The Live Oak Apartments known to many as Carver Village will be demolished next week. The city is paying more than $70,000 to tear down the complex.

Once finished city officials are hoping to build a community center and senior center. After Katrina, Carver Village was closed because of heavy storm damage.
