A Harrison County inmate who escaped from a work detail Tuesday has been captured. Michael Starling, 26, was picked up Tuesday night in Magee.
A Department of Corrections spokesperson said Starling will be returned to state prison to serve his full sentence, plus more time for walking off.
Starling was assigned to the Harrison County Community Work Center. Police say he drove away from the Gulfport site in an animal control vehicle. He was serving a four-year sentence on a conviction of false pretense.
