Work Suspended On Controversial FEMA Trailer Park Site

Work has stopped on a controversial FEMA trailer park on John Hill Boulevard in Gulfport.

Many people were against the building of the site because of its location right off of the busy highway and question its necessity. However, FEMA has not decided whether construction will be permanently stopped.

According to FEMA spokesperson Eugene Brazenly, construction has been suspended but could possibly be started again.

FEMA is coordinating with Gulfport to confirm the length of their building permit. The situation is under consideration.
