Three Coast Girls Raise Money For Less Fortunate Children

A teacher at Quarles elementary in Long Beach asked her students to donate a little money... she wanted to make Christmas merry for children who would normally wake up Christmas morning with no presents to open.

Three 5th graders took that request to heart and decided to take giving one step further.Sarah, Bethany and Lindsey spent 5 hours today selling cakes and cookies in front of Choice Supermarket in Long Beach.

The girls raised $110.00. The money will go to buy brand new toys for less fortunate families to have under their tree Christmas morning.

Choice Supermarket helped the girls by donating the cake and some of the cookies. They also gave each child a bouqet of fresh flowers to thank them for their generosity to others.
