A St. Martin girl made a very special trip to the hair salon Friday. WLOX reporter Trang Pham-Bui and her five-year-old daughter Vy visited Hair and Nail Creations in St. Martin to make a donation to "Locks of Love."
The non-profit organization uses donated hair to make wigs for disadvantaged children suffering from long-term medical hair loss.
Vy's long, dark hair is pretty, but not always convenient for a busy five-year-old. But this little girl also understands the important reason behind this special haircut.
"If someone doesn't have hair, I'll cut my hair," Bui said.
Vy was able to donate 10 inches of hair to "Locks of Love." If you'd like to learn more about the donation program, just visit www.LocksofLove.org.
