"Originally everything was scheduled for Labor Day Weekend 2005. Of course, as everyone knows, Katrina hit on August 29, and all of our plans washed away with everything else on the coast," says reunion participant Lisa Hyde.
Katrina may have stalled the class of 1975's 30-year reunion, but on Saturday night, classmates picked up where they left off--spending a lot of time reminiscing over days of old.
"Here we are," says Hyde, motioning to a picture. "We're all classmates, and we're still friends today...that's that gentleman over there and that's me. We're all still very close."
There were plenty of familiar faces from the class of '75 at the reunion, but a few other Biloxi High Graduates, too.
"What we did we invited the two classes after and the two classes before us, so we went from classes 73 to 77 at this reunion, says participant Louis Peyton.
James, the class of '75's mascot proved he could still get his grove on, and Lucille Bennett showed her resourcefulness rounding up dozens of doorprizes for her classmates.
Organizers say there were a lot of memorable people and moments surrounding the class of 1975.
A memorial was also held in memory of class members who have passed away.
