Biloxi Teen Killed In Hunting Accident

A Biloxi teenager was killed Saturday after a hunting accident in North Mississippi. Authorities say 16-year-old Carl Unger died after he was accidentally shot by his 20-year-old stepbrother.

Noxubee County Coroner Scott Gregory said it happened about 6:15 Saturday night at the Noxubee Refuge.

According to the coroner, Unger was shot him in the left shoulder. He says the stepbrother had left the safety off his rifle and was walking with it over his arm when it went off. It happened as the group was walking back to the car. Unger died at the scene.

The teenager's aunt, uncle and stepfather were the other members of the hunting group. The stepbrother's name is not being released.
