WILL PLAY IN THE WINDY CITY

Band Making A Name For Itself

The Stone County High School Symphonic Band members are tooting their own horns tonight, and with good reason.

The small band from Wiggins is one of only six high school bands in the entire nation invited to perform at a prestigious musical conference in Chicago.

The Midwest international band and orchestra clinic is the most recognized instrumental music education conference in the world today, and this year the 67 kids that make up the Stone County band will be there.

Tonight the band performed for hundreds of Stone County residents at a dinner designed to raise money for their big trip to the windy city

Next year the Stone County Symphonic band will head to new york city to perform in the Macy's thanksgiving day parade.
