Former Biloxi Officer Sentenced On Drug Charge

Former Biloxi police officer Darrell D. Cvitanovich, Junior was sentenced Monday to 15 years in prison for selling Ecstasy. The judge suspended 10 years of the sentence, leaving Cvitanovich to serve five years in prison.  

Cvitanovich was a 14 year veteran of the Biloxi Police Department. In June, officers raided his home. Cvitanovich resigned shortly afterwards.

According to authorities, he was charged with transfer of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance. Prosecutes dropped the possession charge in exchange for a guilty plea.
