Parents Give Input on Biloxi School District

Parents of Biloxi students were at Beauvoir Elementary Monday night to give and receive input on short term and long-range goals for the school district.

Biloxi Schools Superintendent Paul Tisdale headed up the meeting and talked about the strategic planning committee's goals for the school district. He said there was a possibility that ninth graders will be moved to the high school in the future.

He also said school district leaders would also be looking at attendance at Lopez, Gorenflo and Nichols Elementary schools in winter of 2007 to see if there needed to be any reorganization.

Parents also gave some suggestions.

There will be another meeting Tuesday night at Nichols Elementary. It begins at 6:30 p.m. Next Wednesday, the Strategic Planning Committe will meet to discuss parents suggestions at these meetings and the questionnaires that have been turned in.
