The Mississippi State Lady Bulldogs basketball team will secure the services of one of the top high school basketball players in the state. 6-2 Chalandra Hilliard of St. Martin High School will sign a letter of intent with the Lady Bulldogs in the early signing period Wednesday. She wanted to get the recruiting process out of the way so she can concentrate on her senior season.
Last season Chalandra netted 15 points and 12 rebounds per game. In the early going this season, Chalandra has averaged 25 points a game. She can shoot from outside, or take it to the hoop an outstanding talent. Before choosing Mississippi State, Miss Hilliard considered Maryland, Boston College and Arkansas State. She's coached by Jerry Twiggs.
