Give A Helping Hand

The Salvation Army needs your help to provide Thanksgiving Dinner to the needy in both Biloxi and Gulfport. The agency says it's really feeling the impact the New York relief efforts since millions of dollars are going up there, and fewer and fewer dollars are staying home. Representatives say they hope people will remember the local charities that need help too, especially with the holidays coming up.

Center director Major Darrel Kingsbury says they need turkeys, pumpkin pies and all the trimmings to feed hundreds of people that are expected to show up for Thanksgiving dinner. If you'd like to donate money or supplies to the Salvation Army, you can call the Gulfport office at 868-1188.
