Man Accused Of Kidnapping Gets Nabbed On His Birthday

Biloxi Police started chasing Michael Wilson, 31, Saturday morning after spotting him driving a stolen Mitsubishi from Jackson County. Police say after Wilson was spotted, he ran from officers through the streets and into Keegan Bayou, where he was captured.

Biloxi Police later learned that Wilson is wanted on escape charges. George County Sheriff's Department officials say he walked away from a work center.

There is also a warrant out for Wilson's arrest in Ocean Springs for strong armed robbery. Biloxi Police will charge him with various traffic offenses.

Biloxi Police told WLOX News Wilson is a suspect in Friday's kidnapping in Ocean Springs. Ocean Springs Police say a woman was approached by a man posing as a police officer around 2:20 p.m. Friday. The woman reportedly allowed the man into her car and he forced her into the passenger seat. After driving to several unknown locations, the woman was able to escape.

Wilson was taken to the Harrison County Jail. He was being held under no bond because of the escape charges. Wilson, whose last known address was in Biloxi, turned 31 years old on Saturday.
