Memorial Committee Needs Photographs

There's something still missing from the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Ocean Springs.

Those who helped design and raise money for the monument are still searching for the pictures of some 118 Mississippians who died in the Vietnam War.

A black granite wall, etched with pictures of those killed in the conflict, is the centerpiece of the monument. The memorial was dedicated in 1997, but volunteers are still actively searching for those photographs they need to make the display complete.

The Vietnam Veterans Memorial will host a Veterans Day ceremony Sunday at 10:30 a.m.
