Nation's Largest Domino's Pizza Franchise Celebrates 25 Years In Biloxi

There was a pizza making celebration in Biloxi Monday. Staff members helped RPM Pizza, the country's largest Domino's Pizza franchise, celebrate 25 years in business.

Co-founder Glenn Mueller says what is now 130 franchises started in 1981 with one restaurant on Pass Road in Biloxi. It was the first Domino's Pizza in the state of Mississippi.

Mueller says when he and his brother moved from Michigan to start the business, they weren't sure how people would take the idea.

"We were a little concerned, because at that time nobody knew Domino's Pizza delivers. It was a new concept, helping to make sure our customers could get a hot delicious pizza in 30 minutes. So it was a little bit of risk. My wife worked at the hospital. At night she'd work at an office type thing, but everything worked out for the best and she is now working in our company full time," Mueller said.

In celebration of RPM's birthday, the customer who placed the 25th order of the day got their pizza for free. Glenn Mueller made the delivery to the lucky folks at Suzuki City in Biloxi, and he threw in t-shirts and a side order of brownies.
