Bridge Will Be Replaced

Leaders on the Gulf Coast have agreed to rebuild Inner Harbor Bridge in Ocean Springs. About 100 residents attended a public meeting last night, and most were in favor of replacing the wooden bridge.

The bridge has been closed since October 18th because of safety concerns. Construction of a new bridge should take about five months and cost approximately 305-thousand dollars.

The city and Jackson County will split the costs, and work could begin within two weeks.
