Former FEMA Director Calls Congressman Taylor A "Little Twerp"

The latest punch in the war of words between Fourth District Congressman Gene Taylor and former FEMA Director Michael Brown takes place in the pages of Playboy magazine.

That interview was recently highlighted in the Reliable Source Column of the Washington Post.

In the interview, Brown criticized Taylor for his comments back in September during a hearing on Capitol Hill into the slow government response to Hurricane Katrina.

During the hearing, Taylor accused Brown of not comprehending the damage and devastation caused by Katrina According to Playboy, it's an accusation Brown emphatically disputes.

Brown says of Taylor, "For that little twerp to claim I didn't understand death and suffering, he can just bite me for all I care."

Taylor fired back a response through his Washington D.C. office saying, "Michael Brown should consider himself a lucky man. Had I known before the hearing that he was up in Baton Rouge ordering steaks on his government credit card at the same time the people of South Mississippi were resorting to police-sanctioned looting to feed themselves, I would have done more than just verbally kick his butt. Brown is an incompetent fool, and everyone in South Mississippi knows it."

In the article, Brown also criticizes Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff and President Bush.
