Second Chance For Schooling

A new educational grant is giving out-of-school students in Jackson County another chance to earn a high school degree or build a career. The new program is called Beacon, its funded through a 117 thousand dollar grant from the federal government.

The program focuses on English, Math and classes on earning a GED. Organizers say this program gives young adults a second chance to receive an education that can help them in the future.
