Others Interested In Developing Broadwater Property

WLOX News has new details on the future of the Broadwater property.

According to a spokesman for the ownership group, at least four casino companies are looking at the Biloxi site. They're all trying to figure out if the 15 acre parcel north of Highway 90 fits into their design plans.

Broadwater owners initially had a lease agreement with the Foxwoods Development Company. That contract recently expired.

Thursday, a Foxwoods spokesman called WLOX News and said his company has not pulled out of Biloxi. Foxwoods let the agreement expire. But the spokesman said the casino group remains interested in Biloxi and the Broadwater.

The Pascagoula Panthers open the 2017 football season on the road. In fact, their first three games are road contests. The wet weather in South Mississippi is placing quite the burden on construction workers as they attempt to complete stadium renovations. The project was suppose to be finished before the beginning of Pascagoula's football season.
