Rescue Mission Plans To Rebuild Burned Thrift Store

Plans are already underway to rebuild the thrift store at the Gulf Coast Rescue Mission. Early Friday morning, the thrift store was gutted by a fire caused by an electrical problem.

Rev. Tom Mimms, director of the Gulf Coast Rescue Mission, says the old thrift store will be leveled and a new store will be built on the site. Until then, the thrift store is operating at a new location - the Rescue Mission's chapel, right next to the old thrift store site.

The new thrift store will be funded by donations to the Rescue Mission. If you'd like to help out, call (228) 388-3884, or stop by the Rescue Mission right off DeBuys Road in Biloxi.
