Possible Tornado Formed In Jackson County

Emergency officials in Jackson County are investigating a possible tornado or water spout that may have formed there around 7 p.m. Saturday.

Residents reported downed tree limbs and power outages in the area. One home had a tree fall on it.

Jackson County Civil Defense Director Todd Adams says winds of up to 50 miles per hour were recorded. He says the storm may have passed directly over the emergency operations center there and was headed for the Eastabuchie area.
