Reward Offered In Double Murder

Kristie Gordon says she is desperate for any information that may solve the murders of her mother, Geneva Gordon, and her uncle David Garriga.

"I'm willing to put up a $10,000 reward for the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible," Kristie says.

With no leads and no motives, Kristie says she doesn't know what else to do to keep her loved ones from becoming forgotten victims.

"Everything's at a standstill. It's almost like a cold case to me. When I talk to the police department, nothing's changed, nothing new, no one's come forward with any solid information."

On the morning of November 9, 2004 the brother and sister got flu shots. Later in the day, they went to check on a friend. That afternoon both were found shot to death in David Garriga's SUV.

Kristie says, "I know we're all going to go, but the way that they went, someone took them. And I want to see justice. It wasn't random, there was a reason behind it and I want justice. I want the person or persons caught."

Putting someone behind bars, Kristie says, will not only bring justice, but also peace for her family.

"It's sad. Every day's sad. Every day we miss them. And they say that it gets easier with time, but it really doesn't. You miss them more, you really miss them more, especially when you don't have any answers, you have nothing to go by."

Gulfport Police investigator Danny Holloway says they need help solving the double murder and if Kristie's reward can do that, Holloway says he's all for it.

If you have any information that could help investigators crack this case, call the Gulfport Police Department at (228) 868-5959, and remember you don't have to give your name.
