Friends Say Shooting Victim Is Recovering Well

Police aren't releasing much information about the two surviving victims of Thursday's shooting in Wiggins. But friends of Dottie Lanier told WLOX News on Friday that she's doing well, more than 24 hours after being shot four times.

Lanier, a long time realtor for Prudential Gardner in Biloxi, went to the Wiggins home sometime before nine Thursday morning. Lanier was shot several times and had surgery Thursday.

Friends say on Friday she was awake and talking to family, and doctors give her a good prognosis.

Lanier's friends opened a bank account to help with her medical costs. Donations are being accepted at the Bank of Wiggins, First National Bank of Wiggins and Hancock Bank.

As for the third shooting victim, police are only saying that he's a white male and the youngest of the three. It is not known if he has any connection to Tina Havard, the woman killed Thursday.
