O.S.H.A Cracks Down

The federal government has fined a Louisiana company, after one its employees died while working on the coast earlier this year. The Occupational Safety and Health Adminstration issued three citations against Red Simpson, Incorporated, a subcontractor for Mississippi Power.

In April, 66-year old George Singleton fell about 85-feet while working on some power lines in St. Martin. OSHA cited Red Simpson Incorporated, for a lack of fall protection for employees. The company faces 91,000 dollars in fines, and has 15-days to contest the citations.
