Diaz Returning To State Supreme Court Friday

Justice Oliver Diaz can head back to work at the Mississippi Supreme Court starting Friday at 8am. That's according to his father, Oliver Diaz, Sr.

Diaz, Sr. told WLOX News a nine judge panel unanimously voted Thursday to allow his son to resume his duties as a Supreme Court Justice.

Diaz Jr. hasn't been to work at the court since 2003. In 2005, he was the only defendant acquitted in connection with a judicial bribery case. Last month, Diaz was found innocent of tax evasion and filing false returns.
