Gulfport Sets Date For Dolphin Swim Team Registration

Gulfport's Dolphin Swim Team registration will take place Saturday, May 20, from 10am-2pm at the Francis X. Collins Fitness Center (2204 Swetman Boulevard Gulfport).

All swimmers 18 and under on May 15, 2006 are eligible for the swim team.

A swim test for new swimmers will be on Saturday May 20 from 10am-2pm (Rain date will be Sunday May 21 ). A Dolphin Swim representative will be available on May 20th from 10am-12pm, rain or shine, for swim suit sizing and sales.

The cost to join is $25 for the first swimmer, $15 for the second, $10 for the third, $5 for the fourth, and $0 after that for each family.

The Gulfport Dolphin Swim Team will start practice on Tuesday, May 30 at the Francis X. Collins Fitness Center Swimming Pool. Practice times will be:

Ages 8 & Under: 9-10am Monday-Friday

Ages 9-12: 10-11am Monday-Friday

Ages 13-18: 11-12:30pm Monday-Friday

Call Lee Sleight at 868-5793 for additional swim team details. The pool officially opens May 27 at 12pm.
