Police Release Names Of People Involved In Early-Morning Shooting

Pascagoula have released the name of the man killed in a shooting early Wednesday morning.

Police say 50-year-old Willie Tate shot 31-year-old Thomas Smith during an argument at the Lodge Apartments on Eden Street just after midnight. Smith died inside the apartment.

According to police, Smith threatened his ex-girlfriend, who lives in the apartment complex. Police say Smith later showed up at her door, and that's when he and Tate began arguing.

No charges have filed. The case will be presented to the next grand jury.
