Warr Honored During 2006 Urban Leadership Awards

In a news release from the city of Gulfport, Mayor Brent Warr was honored for his leadership.

During last week's annual Urban Leadership Luncheon held in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, the Penn Institute for Urban Research presented Mayor Brent Warr with the "Urban Leadership Award" for his leadership before and after Hurricane Katrina.

This year's luncheon titled "Leadership in the Face of Disaster," specifically recognized urban leaders for their "outstanding work on rebuilding and responding to disaster."

Mayor Warr was honored along side former FEMA director James Lee Witt (1993-2000) and former Miami Mayor Manuel Diaz.
