Grillade's And Grits

Ingredients

  • 2-3 pounds beef round roast (cut 1/4" )
  • 2 yellow onions
  • 2 stalks celery
  • 1 bell pepper
  • 1 clove of garlic
  • 1 cup oil
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/2 T. salt
  • 1/4 T. pepper

Cooking Instructions

In a medium size saucepan, combine oil and flour and cook until dark brown stirring occasionally.  Add all vegetables and cook on medium heat for 20 minutes.

Add beef to pot, and place in oven on 325 degrees for 4-6 hours or until beef is tender.

Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper. Serve with grits.
