Osama Bin Laden's Boston Ties

Boston-AP -- Suspected terror mastermind Osama bin Laden has strong family ties and a group of supporters in Boston.

A former FBI official says those ties are now being scrutinized.

Robert Fitzpatrick says investigators want to know if two Boston cab drivers, who were associates of bin Laden, had ties to airport baggage handlers.

One of them had been jailed in Jordan on charges of plotting to blow up a hotel full of Americans and Israelis.

Also, one of bin Laden's brothers set up scholarship funds at Harvard University. Another relative owns six condominiums in a chic, upscale complex in suburban Charlestown.

The two hijacked airliners that demolished the World Trade Center took off from Boston's Logan International Airport.
