Help Is On The Way

Another group of South Mississippi firefighters said goodbye to their families Tuesday, loaded up gear and headed east. Eleven Jackson County Volunteer Firefighters could be assisting in search and rescue operations in New York very soon.

The group left from Gulfport Tuesday morning. They'll end up at Ground Zero, the spot where the World Trade Center towers stood, until terrorist attacks took them down last week. As they were leaving, the volunteers said they are prepared to do a job that has them a bit worried, but happy to help.
