AN ELECTRONIC UNIVERSITY CAMPUS IS ON THE WAY

Help For Adult Learners

Adult learners are a growing part of Mississippi's classrooms and state univerisities are opening the doors to education and making it more accessible. In conjunction with the third annual college fair, a state wide virtual Adult Career Development Fair will be held at 6:30 PM on October 23rd.

That portion of the fair will be live with audio and video interaction at sites throughout the state. Those sites include all community colleges and universities. The information can also be accessed over the internet. The Institutions of Higher Learning is planning an "electronic university campus" which will provide Mississippi's adult learners access to distance education courses.

    The Mississippi Attorney General’s Office and Secretary of State’s Office join the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and law enforcement officials and charity regulators from every state, the District of Columbia, American Samoa, Guam, and Puerto Rico in announcing “Operation Donate with Honor,” an education campaign alerting donors to fundraising solicitations falsely promising donations to veterans and service members.
