(Undated-AP) -- That tropical depression over the Gulf of Mexico is holding steady for now, kicking rain into Florida and holding its strength for now.
Tropical Depression Eight is centered about 255 miles west of Naples, Florida. Movement remains to the west at about five miles an hour, though a turn to the northwest is expected by sometime tomorrow.
Top sustained winds are still at about 30 miles an hour. Some strengthening is expected in the next day or so.
Forecasters models differ from one another, so interests on the Gulf coast are being told to keep close watch. Movement is expected to erratic, and the 72-hour forecast shows the system centered roughly off Crystal River, Florida.
