Coroner: Gulfport Murder Victim Died Friday

It turns out the murder victim found Sunday in Gulfport actually died Friday morning. Deborah Herrmann's lifeless body was left in a Canal Street home for two days before authorities were tipped off to her murder.

Investigators say that tip came from Robert Ray Wilkerson, the man who walked into the Harrison County Jail and confessed to the killing.

According to the coroner, the capital murder suspect used some sort of object to strangle his victim.

Ms. Herrmann was from Henderson, Nevada. The 55-year-old moved to the coast after the hurricane to help run a mold elimination company.
