Pass Christian High School Facing Crowding Problem

Plans are in the works to ease the crowding crunch at Pass Christian High School.

Right now, the school is at capacity, forcing some teachers to share classrooms. Each year, the student population keeps growing.

The school was built two years ago, but school officials didn't anticipate this much growth. Now, they're working on a design to add classroom space.

"The school board and the school district is looking at building an addition to the high school," Principal Cathy Broadway said. "It will look very similar, and it will blend completely with our new structure. Hopefully, we will have at least 10 new classrooms. It will be a two-story structure also."

School leaders hope the new classrooms will be ready by next fall.
