Sea Wolves Complete Trade With Roanoke

On August 6th the Mississippi Sea Wolves traded tough-man Brad Essex to the Roanoke Express for John Sadowski and future considerations. Sea Wolves head coach Bob Woods completed that trade Thursday by signing rookie defenseman Ryan Clark.

In four years at Notre Dame, Clark posted 2 goals, 13 assists and 187 penalty minutes. He fits the mold Coach Woods is looking for, a big, strong, fast and physical player at 6'4" 225 pounds. Besides signing Ryan Clark, the Sea Wolves also inked John Sadowski.

Woods said, "Clark brings us more size and toughness to the defense which we have lacked over the past few years. I want to add a new element to our game next season which makes it miserable for opposing teams to play in our zone and in front of our net."

SEA WOLVES TICKETS: On sale now. In addition, the Sea Wolves have 5 new ticket packages to choose from to fit any scheduled or budget. Sea Wolves opening weekend begins Friday, October 12th and Saturday, October 13th.
