Biloxi Mayor Taken To Hospital

Biloxi Mayor A. J. Holloway will spend Monday night in the hospital after an apparent allergic reaction to medication.

The 65-year-old mayor went to Biloxi Regoinal Medical Center Monday morning after appearing ashen and sweaty at a city staff meeting.

City spokesman Vincent Creel told WLOX News the mayor had an EKG and doctors ruled out a heart attack or stroke. You may recall, Holloway had bypass surgery ten years ago.

Creel says the mayor took some antibiotics over the weekend and doctors believe an allergic reaction caused him to feel ill. Holloway will spend the night in the hospital for observation.
