Harrison County Re-Advertising For Razor Wire Removal

Harrison County Supervisors are re-advertising for a contractor to remove the razor wire that runs along the railroad from Pass Christian to Gulfport.

Supervisor President Connie Rockco says the bids they received didn't meet requirements and couldn't be accepted.

The wire was installed a few days after the hurricane to keep people out of the devastated areas south of the tracks.

It cost more than a million and a half dollars to buy and install. FEMA reimbursed the county for that cost, and will pay for the removal.
