July 2001 Rainfall Totals

July was the second month in a row that South Mississippi saw rainfall totals well above normal, putting an end to the drought conditions that marked the early parts of this year. As a matter of fact, in the months of June and July alone, we received two-thirds of the year's rainfall totals. Here are the numbers for July, 2001.

    For much of South Mississippi, rainfall has only been recorded a few days so far this month. In fact, this has been the 22nd driest first half of November since 1893 in Biloxi.
