July was the second month in a row that South Mississippi saw rainfall totals well above normal, putting an end to the drought conditions that marked the early parts of this year. As a matter of fact, in the months of June and July alone, we received two-thirds of the year's rainfall totals. Here are the numbers for July, 2001.
