Landry's Pays $11 Million For Point Cadet Property

The company that owns Las Vegas's Golden Nugget casino still has an interest in Biloxi.

According to George Sekul, the Landry's Restaurant group paid more than $11 million to buy homes near Point Cadet. Sekul owns one of the more than 20 east Biloxi properties that were just sold to Landry's.

Two months ago, Landry's told Biloxi leaders that if it bought the private property, and then leased the city's waterfront property at Point Cadet, it would turn the site into a boardwalk and casino resort. But Biloxi never signed off on the project.
