Some Bay High School Dancers are getting ready for a performance of a lifetime. Four energetic young ladies will soon perform for Pope John Paul II in Rome Italy this fall.
The girls are among a select few high school dancers chosen to be a part of the American All Star Performing team. It's part of a student exchange program with Italy. The girls will team up with dancers there for an international goodwill performance for the Pope.
"These girls have worked for many many months practicing, listening to me and the music, practicing over and over again, and it's just an honor for these girls to represent Bay High School and also this city and state," Bay High Dance Instructor Natalie Skinner said.
It will cost the girls more than $2,000 each to take the trip. They've got a number of fund raisers scheduled over the next few weeks. If you can help you can make a donation to The American All-Star Dancers at any Branch of Union Planters Bank.
