Biloxi Police Bust Mid Level Drug Dealers

Biloxi police and federal agents went after mid level crack cocaine dealers Friday morning.

They made a half dozen arrests.

The undercover operation targeted the so-called "Keller Avenue Crew" in East Biloxi.

Along with the arrests, police seized several ounces of crack cocaine. They also impounded two vehicles.

Biloxi's police chief calls the drug bust significant.

"We've had a problem for quite some time and we've been working on it for almost 18 months. It's above your street level dealer. It will have significant impact on the drugs that are distributed in East Biloxi," said Chief Tommy Moffett.

Chief Moffett says the investigation targeted a group associated with crimes of violence, including drive-by shootings and assaults.
