Razor Wire To Come Down In Harrison County

Harrison County Supervisors are looking for a contractor to remove the razor wire that runs along the railroad from Pass Christian to Gulfport.

The wire was installed a few days after the hurricane to keep people out of the devastated areas south of the tracks. It cost more than $1.5 million to buy and install. FEMA reimbursed the county for that cost and will pay for the removal.

The county has not set a deadline for getting rid of the wire, but will take care of it just as soon as a contractor is hired.
